Personal Attack/Holdup Alarms

These are typically installed as an element of an intruder alarm system and comprise of fixed units such as double push units mounted under a counter or desk and also remote/radio units such as pendant devices

A personal attack alarm system is your means of instantly and covertly summoning assistance when needed. A person who is under physical attack (or feels threatened with the likelihood of attack) or otherwise under duress may not be in a position to overtly summon assistance without antagonising the source of that threat.

Activation of a concealed personal attack button will send a signal to our Alarm Receiving Centre to let them know that you need assistance and the police will be informed (if appropriate, a response service such as S.C.A.M.P Security's response service, on site security or other contact/keyholder can be informed as well as or instead of the police if this is your requirement).

It may even be that you do not want to summon response but simply want an audible PA to scare away any potential attacker.

Remote units may incorporate gyroscopic sensing which can trigger an alarm condition if the unit becomes horizontal in the case of a person having fallen over. This may be of particular interest for the use of lone or vulnerable workers (see the lone worker case study in our features section).
