RVRC - Our Remote Video Receiving Centre operates Video Central Gold™ software to remotely monitor CCTV systems via ISDN telephone lines. We can monitor and remotely control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras such as domes as well as fixed cameras in response to activations from the system. The CCTV is linked to detection which automatically triggers an alert to be sent to our RVRC in the form of three still capture images from the associated camera (set to the associated preset in the case of a PTZ camera). The RVRC operator will assess these images and view live video in order to ascertain the cause of the activation. Where the operator believes that an intrusion/theft/damage etc is taking place, a keyholder will be informed (this may involve the despatch of a S.C.A.M.P Security mobile patrol officer if a response service is in place). All activations are acted on immediately and still/video images are recorded to hard drive within our RVRC and can be forwarded to police forces immediately (we can forward video or stills by email to any force in the country).

Some clients wish to take advantage of a nightly detection check service. Each evening, a S.C.A.M.P Security officer will attend the premise and walk test the detection to ensure that each is operating and that activations are received from all cameras and presets. An additional advantage is the visual deterrent of a uniformed security officer attending in a marked vehicle to check the premise.

A further facility is available via the control of up to ten outputs via the Video Central Gold software which allows lighting, gates, barriers, doors etc to be operated from within the RVRC (see the Remote Access Control Case Study)
